APPLICATION PROCEDURE
1.0 PREFACE
- Membership in the FOUNDATION is open to all those who share an interest
in the protection of original design and who conduct business consistent
with the goals of the FOUNDATION FOR DESIGN INTEGRITY.

- 2.0 APPLICATION

- Application forms are made available to those who make a request by
letter, voicemail or facsimile to the Secretary of the FOUNDATION.

- Application forms must be fully completed, signed and mailed to the
Secretary of the FOUNDATION along with a small sampling of the applicants
original designs, marketing material or advertisements. A complete catalgue
is not required. The materials submitted become the property of the FOUNDATION
and will not be returned.

- 3.0 COMPLETED APPLICATIONS

- Completed Applications are held in the custody of the Secretary until
the time of review and election.

- 4.0 APPLICATION REVIEW

- Completed Applications are to presented to the membership for review
at the next general membership meeting.

- The purpose of the application review is to determine if the applicant
conducts business consistent with the goals of the FOUNDATION. During the
process, members may consider any information contained in the application,
as well as any facts that are known about the applicant. Members may openly
discuss an applicant during the review process.

- 5.0 APPLICATION BALLOT

- Each member firm in good standing is entitled to cast a single vote
on a membership ballot. Member firms must can a representative to the general
meeting to cast a vote. There is no absentee voting. Ballots are not secret.

- Members may vote either "Yes" to grant membership, "No"
to reject membership, or abstain.

- 6.0 NOTIFICATION OF BALLOT RESULTS

- The Secretary will notify the Applicant of the ballot results by letter.

- 7.0 PROBATIONARY PERIOD

- Applicants are granted a one-year probationary membership that begins
upon receipt of payment of the membership dues by the Secretary. During
the probationary period, any member in good standing can challenge the
membership of a probationary member.

- To challenge, a member should submit to the Secretary an account of
any known facts or business conduct by the probationary member that may
be inconsistent with the goals of the FOUNDATION. The Executive Board will
review the challenge and make a ruling. The Executive Board may revoke
the membership of the probationary member.

- 8.0 REAPPLICATION
-
- Applicants who have been rejected for membership may re-apply at any
time. A letter should be sent to the Secretary requesting that the application
be re-considered.
