Seminar Certificate Program
| 1.0 | PREFACE | |
| 1.1 -- FDI is dedicated to educating its members about the basic oncepts of Intellectual Property Law by conducting seminars throughout the nation. | ||
| 1.2 -- To boost attendance at these seminars and encourage members to activelyparticipate in the Education Program. FCI has developed this Certificate Program. | ||
| 2.0 | ELIGIBILITY | |
| The Certificate Program is availavle only to members of the FOUNDATION in good standing and to those applicants who become FDI members within six months of sending a representative to an FDI IP Seminar. | ||
| 3.0 | TERM OF PROGRAM | |
| 3.1--The Certificate Program is valid only from October 30, 2000 to December 31, 2001. | ||
| 3.2--The Certificate Program may be extended by mutual agreement between Susan E. Farley, Esq. and FDI. | ||
| 4.0 | OBTAINING A CERTIFICATE | |
| 4.1--Each FDI Member company who sends a qualifying representative to any FDI seminar entitled Understanding Intellectual Property Law in the Furniture Industry will receive one certificate. | ||
| 4.2--To qualify, the representative must attend the entire seminar and must be either a company officer or an employee/consultant whose responsibilities include protecting the compamy's intellectual property. | ||
| 5.0 | REDEEMING A CERTIFICATE | |
| 5.1--Each certificate entitles the company to a credit of one hundred dollars towards thje Heslin & Rothenberg billing of Susan Farley's consultation time charges. | ||
| 5.2--Return the certificate to Heslin & Rothenberg along with payment for any balance due Heslin & Rothenberg will then apply the cresit to your account. | ||
| 6.0 | SPECIAL RULES ABOUT THE CERTIFICATE | |
| 6.1--The certificate may be used only once and shall be fully applied on one billing. | ||
| 6.2--the certificate is not transferabe to another company. | ||
| 6.3--the certificate has no cash value. | ||
| 6.4--A company may acquire and use more than one certificate. | ||
| 6.5--An indicidual may qualify for more than one certificate by attending multiple seminars: however. an indicidual may not represent more than one company at one seminar. | ||
| 7.0 | ATTTORNEY FEES | |
| Any Company who redeems a Certificate through Heslin & Rothenberg is responsible for any charges incurred in excess of the one hundred dollar credit. | ||
| 8.0 | CONCLUSION | |
| 8.1--The purpose of the IP Law Seminars and the Certificate Program is to give FDI members a basic understanding of the principles of intellectual property law. FDI members who have this basic understanding are then better propared to discuss the issues of a potential action with an intellectual property law attorney and avoid thetime consuming and costly process of being individually educated by an attorney. | ||

This Certificate Program makes their expertise in intellectual property law available to you at fees substantially lower than normal. | ||
